My journey into the world of art began with a degree in Graphic Design, but it didn’t take long for me to realize that the static nature of the field wasn’t quite my style. I craved the energy of bringing my creations to life, especially with my love for sci-fi and animation as major influences. So, I transitioned into Computer Animation at Ringling College of Art and Design, where I graduated with a B.F.A. and a Minor in Photography.
From there, I dove headfirst into the world of VFX, commercials, and special venues, like stereoscopic ride films, each offering me new lessons and challenges. My stint in the gaming industry taught me invaluable skills in in-game and cinematic pipelines, motion capture workflows, and Unreal integration. But eventually, I felt the pull back to my VFX roots, leveraging my diverse skill set as a generalist in visualization.
My journey led me to MPC, where I got my first taste of previs and postvis work in a fast-paced environment, honing my skills in camera animation, tracking, rotoscoping, and compositing. Following that, I spent almost seven incredible years at The Third Floor, where I had the privilege of contributing to numerous Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, often in senior and supervisory roles.
Until recently, I served as a Visualization Supervisor at Halon Entertainment, where I oversaw teams of various sizes. One of my proudest achievements there was cultivating a collaborative and supportive work culture, earning consistent praise from my team. I firmly believed that supporting and empowering artists was paramount to achieving exceptional results.
Building strong relationships with clients has also been a cornerstone of my career. I’ve received exceptionally positive feedback, with many clients specifically requesting my involvement in their projects. For me, supervision is about striking a delicate balance between client relations, team morale, mentorship, creativity, technical expertise, and attention to detail.
